In 2006, HUB Clothing Boutique founder Tom Simon brought Jennifer Mumfor onboard as a co-owner. A native of Palo Alto, CA, Mumford was raised in Scottsdale, AZ and graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
After college, Mumford apprenticed at The Bromley Group, a fashion-focused PR firm in New York City. Eventually Mumford moved back to the West Coast to take a full-time position as a couture assistant at Neiman Marcus in San Diego. Next, Mumford moved to Los Angeles to become the wholesale sales manager for the Von Dutch Originals brand before moving on to handle West Coast sales for the Miss Sixty label.
However, Mumford always held a warm spot in her heart for HUB Clothing Boutique, a store she shopped at regularly while growing up in Scottsdale. It only seemed to be a natural progression for Mumford to move back to Arizona and become a partner in HUB.
In 2005, Mumford's mother took it upon herself to talk to Tom Simon about taking on a partner and Jennifer Mumford bought into the company on May 15, 2006.
Today, Jennifer handles the buying for the HUB's women's lines and enjoys working closely with Tom to expand the business at it moves into a larger storefront in Scottsdale Fashion Square. The new store will be designed by Michael Johnson with a modern architectural twist.
